WITB: Linn Grant – 2025 The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge
Linn Grant’s second LPGA Tour win came at the 2025 ANNIKA tournament in Florida, and her bag this week reflected a player dialed in — blending modern performance with stability and trusted equipment. The combination led to her finishing the week with two 65’s, closing out Jennifer Kupcho by 3 shots.
Driver: PING G430 LST (9°)
Shaft: Fujikura Speeder TR 757 S
The G430 LST is a head designed for players who demand a lower-spin, more penetrating flight without sacrificing forgiveness. At 9°, the Speeder TR 757 S shaft provided a firm feel for stability and profile that suits a quick transition.
Fitting Insight:
For players who struggle with ballooning drives or high spin off the tee, using a low-spin head like the G430 is a great option. We typically see this a great option for someone who needs a touch higher launch than some other low spin models from other brands.
4-Wood: PING G440 Max (17°)
Shaft: Mistubishi Diamna BB 73 S
Grant turned to a 4-wood setup at 17°, using the G440 Max to give her high launch and soft landings from longer fairway positions. The Diamana BB 73 S shaft added mid-launch support with stability through impact.
Fitting Insight:
For players who do not need the full distance benefit of a traditionally lofted 3 wood, the 4 wood has been a very popular option. It all comes down to how you use your fairway wood. The 4 wood is a much smarter option for players who use their fairway wood to hit into greens as it comes down softer and gives them more opportunities to capitalize on the par 5’s.
Hybrid: PING G440 (20°)
Shaft: Graphite Design HY
Grant’s hybrid at 20° fills the gap between her fairway and long irons, giving a versatile option from tricky lies or longer approach shots. The Graphite Design HY shaft helps maintain feel and trajectory control in the hybrid.
Fitting Insight:
Using a hybrid instead of a 3 iron often gives better launch, more carry and steeper land angles. For players who find long irons tough to get up in the air or struggle to get efficient land angles this is a no brainer of a club to swap to. We suggest looking at hybrids and fairway wood options in this loft often in our fittings.
Irons: PING iDi (4) + PING i210 (5–PW)
Shafts: KBS Tour Proto Hybrid (4) | True Temper Dynamic Gold XP 95 S300 (5–PW)
Grant’s long-iron (4-iron) is the iDi, a model that gives extra ball speed and forgiveness, and the rest of her set is the i210 from 5-iron through PW. This combo lets her use forgiveness where she needs it and precision where it counts.
Fitting Insight:
Blended iron sets (mixing heads or shaft weights) are becoming more common, giving players a way to optimize launch and control across the bag while maintaining consistent feel. Using the IDI instead of a 4 iron is something that will be popular this year. It creates effortless ball speeds and launch conditions that we don’t find in other options.
Wedges: PING s159 (50°-S, 56°-S, 60°-H)
Shafts: True Temper Dynamic Gold XP 95 S300
Grant’s wedge setup takes care of all situations, the S-grind in 50° and 56° suits full and partial shots, while the 60° H-grind gives versatility in varying lies.
Fitting Insight:
Matching wedge sole grind and bounce to your turf conditions and shot profile is critical. For someone playing at such a high level like Linn does, there is a necessity to match at least the lob wedge to the weeks sand type and turf conditions. It is a question that is asked in all our fittings because course conditions holds the key to what wedge set up is going to be best for your game.
Putter: PING PLD Prime Tyne
On the greens, Grant trusted the PLD Prime Tyne putter — a shape that provides alignment guidance and stability while maintaining a compact mallet footprint. The PP62 grip supports a consistent handle feel, helping promote smooth tempo.
Fitting Insight:
For players who favor alignment and mallet stability but still want a compact look, the Tyne-style putters provide the best of both worlds. In our fittings, It has been especially beneficial for players looking for more forgiveness than their traditional bladed style putter.
